Here’s our full list of events for Lexington Craft Beer Week – May 13th – May 20th.
We’re kicking off Lexington Craft Beer Week by releasing two brand new brews on tap – an American IPA and a sour peach pale ale! They’ll pair really well with a cookout from Dad’s Favorites Deli. The first, 99 Peaches But a Pit Ain’t One, is a sour pale ale aged on white peaches. Coming in at 4.8% ABV and 19 IBU, this lip-puckering brew is perfectly refreshing for warm weather. Second, Newtown IPA is named for the arterial thoroughfare everyone uses to get to our taproom. It’s an American style IPA coming in at 8% ABV and 77 IBU. We used some less conventional hops for bittering and aroma to bring you a complex flavor profile. Palisade and Caliente bring a strong aroma of stone fruit (peaches, nectarine, apricot) with a hint of lemon zest. Flavor starts with subdued stone fruit and finishes with more earthy and grass notes.
What’s better than a Sunday afternoon at the brewery? When Sunday, Mother’s Day, and Craft Beer Week all come together at the brewery! Celebrate moms and beers with an all-day Mother’s Day brunch and beer specials on Sunday, May 14th. We’ll be featuring beer-mosas and michelada alongside Rico’s empanadas. We can’t wait!
Get ready for our most popular Lexington Craft Beer Week event – it’s the annual Test Batch Takeover with a brewers’ dozen brand new, limited beers! We’re brewing whatever we can think of – from a spaghetti beer to several fruit and herb beers! It’s gonna be fun, delicious, and weird – just the way we like it.
You’ve been snapping photos and asking questions about our gorgeous copper brewery and now you get to explore it with free guided tours on the hour starting at noon followed by live music from Restless Leg String Band at 7:30! Celebrate the middle of Craft Beer Week with one of Lexington’s best bands, a Dad’s Favorites Deli cuban sandwich, and some of our favorite brews from our friends at Founders Brewing Co.! On tap, in addition to your beloved Blue Stallion beers, will be:
KBS Barrel-aged Imperial Stout (11.8% ABV)
Centennial IPA (7.2% ABV)
Red’s Rye IPA (6.6% ABV)
Rubaeus Raspberry Ale (5.7% ABV)
Curmudgeon Old Ale (9.8% ABV)
PC Pils (5.5% ABV)
We’re changing up this Thursday of Lexington Craft Beer Week a little this year by adding dessert beers to the lineup. We’re filling up our guest taps with interesting, rare, and inventive sour and dessert beers to go along with our double-prize Local Trivia Action team trivia (8pm) featuring all Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll questions!
You get your choice of 4 different limited release bottles on the same day, all of them heavy-hitters! The lineup includes BBA Wee-Heavy (Sethiroff) 10.5% ABV, BBA Doppelbock (Gännuhn) 10% ABV, Almond Vanilla Russian Imperial Stout (Velvet Lurker) 9% ABV, and our 2014 Monnik Beer Co. collab – BBA Soured Smoked Doppelbock (Cyanator) 9.5% ABV. Limit of 2 of each beer style per customer. The Zinzinnati Bierband is also back for a raucous good time. Music starts at 7pm.
