OKTOBERFEST AT BLUE STALLION: Sept 25th – Oct. 4th, 2015
Join us in the taproom when we tap our first seasonal pumpkin ale ever! “Kürbisweizen” is an ale with wheat as the base malt. We brewed it with Kentucky Proud roasted pie pumpkins from Happy Jack’s farm in Frankfort, KY as well as pumpkin spices (like nutmeg and allspice). We also used our house Hefeweizen yeast, but fermented at a lower temperature than normal to bring out more clove flavor and dampen the banana notes.
Kürbisweizen goes on tap when we open at noon, with Chef Mikey serving lunch. He’ll be joined for dinner service at 5:30pm by the Gastro Gnomes. Then enjoy the authentic German music of Gephard Erler from 6-10pm.
